Why Piha?
The name is a nod to Quenya — Tolkien’s High Elvish from The Lord of the Rings. In Quenya, pia (also pitya, pincë, picina) is the adjective little or small. A short link is a little path that still reaches the long URL.

beta.piha.li turns a long HTTPS URL into a short path like /a3k9xm. Recipients tap it and get a 302 to your site. Creating links is Bearer-authenticated — only onboarded services can mint.
